REVENGE OF THE SETH

Last time DJ Mag caught up with Seth Troxler in an official capacity, it was around the pool at our 2010 party in Miami. Then a still relatively unknown 24-year-old kid from Detroit, relocated to the techno mecca of Berlin, he'd just demonstrated his incredible DJs skills with the release of a game-changing entry into the Boogybytes series on Ellen Allien's BPitch label.

FOCUS ON: EAST LONDON'S NICCE CLOTHING

Nicce clothing are formed of a team of creatives that live in East London and have a combined passion for fashion and dance music.

Their aim is to “focus on trends and the market of print tees” while at the same time working at providing an alternative to the better known name brands that tend to swamp the marketplace.

HANDSOME AT DANCE TUNNEL

This August Bank Holiday - Sunday 25th August to be precise - DISCODROMO will headline East London night Handsome, held at Dance Tunnel on Kingsland Road.

LIKE A VIRGIN: AUTOKRATZ

“Our first ever live show was completely mental. We’d done a single and got booked for this big East End rave in London, so thought we needed a warm-up the day before.

HOT NATURED: HIERO STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

Following the 20-year cycle of cultural revival, it's not just '90s fashions and sample libraries that have come back around onto dancefloors. Buoyed by America’s repackaging of dance music as EDM and pop’s perpetual shapeshifting, house music is finally back at the top of the charts.

RICHIE HAWTIN: LAND OF KINGS

DJ Mag tasted the techno at a free impromptu Richie Hawtin gig in a Street Feast courtyard for Land of Kings – and of course, the culinary delights too!

THE HYDRA RETURNS

Starting as a roaming series in 2012, The Hydra — London's autumnal series of underground treats — now has a permanent home. Returning for the third year in a row at the end of August, each of the 12 events will this year take place at Studio Spaces E1 — a bespoke location situated in the heart of east London, between Wapping and Shadwell.
