CAMERAS WATCHING? HARDKISS SAY DANCE!

A press photo of Robbie and Gavin Hardkiss neatly sums up the Hardkiss sound. In it, the two remaining members of the original trio (Scott passed away in 2014), stand before a poster for their 1991 EP, 'The Magical Sound of the San Francisco Underground'. Synonymous with West Coast psychedelic dance music, Robbie, Gavin and Scott’s mix of indie rock and funky house was born in the San Francisco warehouse rave scene and culminated in the essential and out of print 1995 album 'Delusions of Grandeur'.

ORIGINAL HARD CREW

It's safe to say that without Gavin, Robbie and Scott Hardkiss, the early '90s electronic music scene in San Francisco would have been very different. Coalescing as Hardkiss in 1991, the trio were merry pranksters spreading mayhem during the first wave of raves to take place on US soil, helping shape the whole culture of electronic music via their parties and eponymous record label, which put out scene classic “Raincry” by God Within (aka Scott).
