BACK TO YOURS: DENNEY | Skip to main content

Denney picks his favourite Fatboy Slim tracks ahead of supporting him in Newcastle!

In our Apple Music playlist series, some of our favourite DJs guide us through a selection of their ultimate afterparty tunes. This week's selector is Denney and It's a Fatboy Slim special.

Ahead of supporting Fatboy Slim this Friday in Newcastle, we asked the geordie born artist to select his favourite Fatboy Slim tracks for our 'Back To Yours' playlist.

After winning a competition to support Fatboy Slim when Denney was just starting out, It's only right that he was invited back.

Check out why he chose the tracks below.

Fatboy Slim "Neal Cassedy Starts Here"

This is a really blissed out track, it has a real Balearic/Jazzy feel to it...Lovely!

Fatboy Slim "Demons (feat. Macy Grey)"

Macy Grey seems to have gone off the radar in recent times but she always had a great edge to her voice and she sounds amazing on this.

Fatboy Slim "Love Life"

This was a track off "Halfway Between The Gutter And The Stars" and has proper funk to it.

Fatboy Slim "Song For Lindy"

I would say this is probably the most early rave sounding record he has ever made.  Has a bit of an Orbital feel to it.

Fatboy Slim "Weapon Of Choice"

A track with a proper Ska feel and music the video was wicked for it with Christopher Walken dancing on ceilings.

Raven Maize  "The Real Life" (Fatboy Slim Remix)

A cool remix of a massive track from 2001.

Fatboy Slim "Everybody Needs a 303"

This is one of the first Fatboy Slim tracks i ever heard and i love it, proper big beat boutique acid business!

Fatboy Slim "Praise You"

I actually heard this dropped last weekend at Secret Garden Party as the sun came up and it went off big time!  I've always loved this record.

Fatboy Slim "F*****g In Heaven"

I remember playing this at a school disco when i used to DJ at them as a kid and got told off by a teacher because it had swearing in.  I think that made me like it more!

Fatboy Slim "Going Out Of My Head"

An early track but still very much with the trademark Fatboy Slim sound.

Beastie Boys "Body Movin" (Fatboy Slim Remix)

A big beat take on this wicked Beastie Boys track...Ace!

Fatboy Slim "Right Here, Right Now"

This track is timeless and still sounds great today, it reminds me of when i first started DJing at school.

Fatboy Slim "Santa Cruz"

This is off his first album "Better Living Through Chemistry" from 1996 and still sounds fresh.

Fatboy Slim "First Down"

A track with a familiar sample in it, another Jazz sounding record.

Fatboy Slim & David Byrne "Dancing Together (Feat. Sharon Jones)

This was the standout track from the "Here Lies Love" Album for me.
