Skrillex was detained by police in Hollywood on Wednesday night (19th April).
Colby Lila Kline shared a video of the incident on Twitter, which showed Skrillex – real name Sonny Moore – being handcuffed and put in the back of a police car.
Skrillex later confirmed that he hadn’t been arrested, and was free to go and DJ at a party later the same night.
Now Skrillex has confirmed the real reason he was detained, explaining that he was pulled over for playing his music too loud before being handcuffed because he was driving without ID. You can see the full tweet below.
Just to be clear , I got pulled over for playing my music too loud ... but handcuffed because I didn't have my ID on me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯— SKRILLEX (@Skrillex) April 20, 2017
