The official trailer for Trainspotting 2 has landed.
Director Danny Boyle confirmed filming was due to begin on the sequel to the iconic 90s film in September last year, which is loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s Porno. Trainspotting 2 also reunites original cast members Ewan McGregor (Renton), Ewen Bremner (Spud), Jonny Lee Miller (Sick Boy) and Robert Carlyle (Begbie).
The first look at Trainspotting 2 came in July when a teaser trailer was revealed. Now, the full official trailer has arrived, starting with the Jonny Lee Miller as Sick Boy asking Ewan McGregor’s Renton, “So what have you been up to for the past 20 years?” Before the famous synths of Underworld’s ‘Born Slippy’ kick in. Epic.
Trainspotting 2 was originally planned to hit cinemas to mark the 20th anniversary of the original film this year, but will now be released in UK cinemas on Friday 27th January.
