New York label and party SLINK has shared a collection of remixes of K Wata’s ‘What Do U Want?’.
Busta Rhymes, Ice-T, Fat Joe, Busy Bee, LL Cool J, and Al B. Sure! were among those who paid tribute to the late rapper Biz Markie, real name Marcel Theo Hall, at a memorial service in Long Island, New York on Monday 2nd August.
Dubbed 'The Final Show', a private service was held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. This was followed by a public memorial to honour the legendary hip hop pioneer. His anthems 'Vapors' (1988) and 'Just A Friend' (1989) are widely considered genre landmarks.

Serving as the New York-born rapper's 13th studio album, 'King’s Disease II' will be released via Nas's Mass Appeal label, and is the follow up record to 2020's Grammy-winning 'King's Disease'.
Although no details surrounding 'King's Disease II' have been shared, last year's LP featured the likes of Anderson .Paak, Big Sean and ASAP Ferg.

The record in question is 'Once Upon A Time In Shaolin', a 31-track double album the hip hop group spent six years recording, packaged in a handmade silver and nickel case. A 174-page leather-bound book is also included. At the time it was produced, band member RZA stated he wanted the release to be viewed as a piece of contemporary art.

It comes six months after a Change.org petition was launched by Dr. Patrick Graham to rename the block between Riverside Boulevard and Long Beach Road on East Hudson Street in Long Beach after the late rapper, real name Daniel Dumile, who grew up in the city. According to Graham - who represents the 'KMD-MF DOOM Way' Committee - Long Beach City Council has officially approved the request.
